Job Summary: The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and designing innovative machinery solutions. This role requires proficiency in engineering design and analysis, 3D modelling expertise, and experience with material selection. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to the company’s ongoing success through creative problem-solving and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Salary: £45K-£50K (negotiable depending on experience)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Holidays: 33 days including statutory leave

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design machinery solutions in line with company standards and client requirements.
- Perform engineering design and analysis, including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
- Create detailed 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Select appropriate materials such as composites, plastics, ferrous, and non-ferrous materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Communicate design concepts and project updates clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Apply creative problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges and improve product designs.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in engineering design and analytical skills.
- Expertise in 3D modelling with SolidWorks.
- Experience with material selection.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
